How to send a photo that becomes a great canvas
Almost any photo can be converted, but a few characteristics make a dramatic difference to the finished kit: clear subject separation, good lighting, and not too many competing details in the background.
If your photo is not ideal, send it anyway — we will tell you what we can adjust and show you the mockup before you pay for anything.
- Resolution: at least 2,000 px on the long edge (phone photos are usually fine)
- One clear subject, centred, ideally filling 60% of the frame
- Even lighting — avoid hard shadows across faces
- Simple backgrounds convert better than busy streets or crowds
- Send JPG, PNG, HEIC or RAW, or a link to Drive / Dropbox / WeTransfer

Email it, or use the form. Tell us the size, colour count and whether it is a gift or retail.
2. Free mockup
Our designers redraw, simplify and colour-map it. You get a digital preview in 1–3 days.
3. Approve or revise
Two revision rounds included. We do not print until you are happy.
4. Produce and ship
3–7 days for single kits by express, or 12–15 days for retail volume with packaging.
Custom orders, answered
How much does the design service cost?
Nothing. Photo conversion, line art, colour mapping and the digital mockup are free with every custom order, and two revision rounds are included. You only pay for kits (and shipping).
Can I order just one kit?
Yes — one kit is enough for a personal gift, and we ship it by express in 3–7 days. Retail packaging usually needs 100 kits per design because of printing setup.
How many colours should I choose?
16 colours for bold, simple subjects and younger painters; 24 as the default for portraits and pets; 36–48 for detailed architecture, landscapes and large formats. Fewer colours means faster painting and a lower unit price.
Will the faces look like the people in the photo?
Yes, within the limits of the medium. We adjust the line work around eyes, mouths and hair so those areas stay legible. If a face is very small in the frame, we will suggest a crop before production rather than print something disappointing.
Do you keep the rights to my photo?
No. You keep all rights to the photo and the derived design. We use the file only to produce your order, never publish it, and delete it on request.
Can I sell the custom designs in my shop?
Yes, if you hold the rights to the source image — that covers your own photos, your own artwork and licensed images. We confirm this in writing before production; artwork you do not own cannot be sold.
